First, we had Test cricket, then we enjoyed ODI cricket for many many years until T20 cricket was introduced. T20 cricket as we know has been a huge success. Some three years ago, the world saw the introduction of the T10 cricket league, which again created some impact. And now in July 2020, we will get to enjoy another interesting format, called the Hundred. A totally new format having some new rules, which you may have never heard before. On 20 October 2019, The Hundred competition’s first draft took place and the squads were announced. In this article, we will see all the teams, all local and overseas players who are part of the Hundred 2020 (men’s) competition and also the full 15-member squads. We will also see the rules of the Hundred competition and the complete schedule of the Hundred 2020 with venues, dates, and timings.

Above are the eight teams representing 7 cities in England and Wales. So these eight new teams will aim to entertain their city fans and supporters all over the world by playing some top-class, fast-paced, and action-packed cricket. All matches will complete within 2.5 hours. A move which sports fans of the modern and busy world we live in will welcome whole-heartedly.
Star Players in the Hundred 2020
The Hundred 2020 is full of star players. On October 2, 2019, each team announced its first five players. One men’s England Test player, two men’s local icon players and two England women’s central contracted picks.
In this article, we will only see the players for the men’s teams.
We will see star players from England, such as Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Eoin Morgan, Jos Butler, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, etc. playing in the Hundred.
Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Aaron Finch, Imran Tahir, Sunil Narine, Glen Maxwell, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Shadab Khan, David Warner, Andre Russell, Sandeep Lamichhane, Mohd. Rules for ‘The Hundred’ cricket
The Hundred cricket has got some mixed reactions from the cricket fans. One major reason for that is the new rules of the competition.
So here are the rules of ‘The Hundred’:
- Each match will be a 100-ball-a-side match
- Bowling end will change after every 10 balls
- Bowlers will be allowed to ball either 5 balls or 10 balls straight
- One bowler can bowl a total of 20 balls in a match.
- Will have one strategic time-out per inning of 2.5 minutes
- Powerplay on first 25-balls of an inning.
- Only two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle during the power-play.
The Hundred 2020 Complete Schedule

The Hundred 2020 will begin on July 17, 2020, Friday with Steve Smith-led Welsh Fire taking on Oval Invincibles at the Kennington Oval ground in London. The tournament will end on August 15, 2020, Saturday, with both the semi-final and the final match being played on the same day.
