Most wickets
Pat Cummins, the current number 1 Test bowler in the world, bowled fitting to his good reputation by sending batsmen back to the dressing rooms, total 29 times. Thus he leads the most wickets tally in the Ashes series 2019.
Next on the list is England’s Stuart Broad who came in like a nightmare for opening batsmen like David Warner in this series. Broad took 23 wickets in the Ashes series 2019.
Jofra Archer took 22 wickets in 8 innings and so is third on the list.

Mitchell Marsh played only one test, in which he took 7 wickets at an average of 12.28.

Most Run-outs
There were only two run-outs in the series. The first one was by England’s Joe Denly who made a throw from the third man region towards the wicket-keeper, Jonny Bairstow. This fabulous throw sent Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne packing, back to the dressing room. Labuschagne was looking really good at that time and was playing on 80. Thus, this throw by Joe Denly cost the Australian his hundred.
Second run-out also came from the same match. This time it was Australia’s Travis Head who ran-out England’s dangerous Jos Buttler for just 1 run.

Steve Smith did not just score most runs in the series but also took the most number of catches. He took 12 catches in 8 innings.
