New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham has provided a cheeky response to a fan on Twitter after he was asked to persuade skipper Kane Williamson to join the social media platform. Neesham, got one over his fans yet again, stating that he’d rather prefer to bring about world peace instead of asking the talisman to join Twitter.
Among all the cricketers, pundits and reporters on social media, Williamson happens to be one of those who never have been a part of this side of the sporting discourse. Kane Williamson has always stayed away from social media attention. But he has a huge fan base all over the world who want to interact with him on Twitter and other social media.
Widely regarded as one of the finest willow-wielders of the gentleman’s game, the 29-year-old has proved to be the face of modern-day cricket in New Zealand. The pillar at the top of the order has amassed over 6,000 runs in both Tests and ODIs, and led the Black Caps by example and application.
Not to mention, Williamson is one of the most loved cricketers in the game, owing to his ice-cool nature on and off the pitch and sheer sportsmanship. No wonder then did the Kiwis win the MCC Spirit of Cricket Award for their conduct during the premier event in England and Wales.
Neesham meanwhile, was a part of the squad that starred in the ICC World Cup 2019 this summer. He’s known for his witty replies and humor on Twitter. One example of his bold expression was the statement he put forth after the dampening defeat in the World Cup final against England.
He had then conceded, “Kids, don’t take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy.”
Here, replying to a tweet that read, “Please make it your new year resolution to bring Kane Williamson to Twitter in 2020,” he joked, “I was thinking world peace but yea sure.”

It was funny but at the same time a deep reply by the New Zealand star player. Fans loved his tweet which quickly became viral.
Neesham, not a part of the Test squad, will hope his captain and fellow teammates salvage positive results out of the three-match Test series against Trans-Tasman rivals Australia, starting with the game at Perth on December 12.

Jimmy Neesham is quite famous for his savage attitude and i absolutely love him for being awesome in Social Media. He was so close to become the GREATEST Kiwi player only if he had smashed another six in the World Cup 2019.
