The 12th edition of the Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup will be played in New Zealand from February 6 to March 7, 2021, with eight teams competing in it for the world title. Since New Zealand will be hosting the tournament, they automatically qualify for the tournament. 2021 ICC Women’s World Cup Teams
There will be a total of eight nations participating in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021.
New Zealand, Australia, England, and South Africa have already qualified for the World Cup. The remaining four teams will be known after the completion of the ICC Women’s Championship and a subsequent qualifying tournament in Sri Lanka in July.

Women’s Championship 2017-2020 (WODI competition) is played between eight teams. The top four teams get to qualify for the World Cup 2021. We have already got the three teams(Australia, England, and South Africa). New Zealand being the host automatically qualify for the big tournament. So we are waiting for one more team to be confirmed from this competition.
The remaining three teams will be decided from the World Cup Qualifier ODI tournament which will be held in July 2020 in Sri Lanka. This tournament will have a total of 10 participants.
2021 ICC Women’s World Cup Venues
Below is the list of the six venues that will host the Women’s World Cup 2021 matches.
- Eden Park, Auckland
- University Oval, Dunedin
- Seddon Park, Hamilton
- Bay Oval, Tauranga
- Basin Reserve, Wellington
- Hagley Oval, Christchurch
The inaugural match of the tournament will take place at Eden Park on February 6, Saturday, while the important Final will be played at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on March 7, Sunday.
2021 ICC Women’s World Cup Full Schedule
The tournament will have a total of 31 matches. The tournament will begin with host New Zealand taking on the Qualifier team (TBD) on February 6, 2021, Saturday, at Eden Park Stadium in Auckland.
2020 Women’s T20 World Cup Champions Australia win play their first game against England on February 7, 2021, Sunday at Eden Park.
New Zealand will have to wait until February 13, 2021, Saturday to lock horns with their arch-rivals Australia at Basin Reserve, Wellington.
The first semi-final will be played on March 03, 2021, Wed at the Bay Oval, Tauranga and the second semi-final will be played on March 04, 2021, Thursday at Seddon Park, Hamilton.
The final will be played on March 7, 2021, Sunday at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
Both the semi-finals and the final will have a reserve day each.

2021 ICC Women’s World Cup Prize Money:
The ICC has announced the prize money for Women’s World Cup 2021 as NZD$5.5 million which equals USD$3.44 million or GBP2.6 million or INR25.3 Crore.
This prize is much higher compared to $NZD3.1m in the 2017 edition and $NZD316,000 in the 2013 edition of the Women’s World Cup.
